Hello and welcome to the Sanctuary of Tantra
October has been a very busy month (not to mention I turned another year younger!) with lots of planning and organising new events for 2010. All workshops next year will now be held on Saturday's with the occasional Sunday workshop. There will be six very unique and different retreats as well as new workshops.
I am excited and honoured to announce that the Sanctuary has invited some amazing and dynamic Special Guests for 2010. Amy Makim from Milk and Honey Tantra in Brisbane will be joining us for the Tantra Goddess Retreat in April, Jade from Jade Lotus International Tantra will be conducting a massage workshop on the Jade Lotus Method of Tantric Massage and we are currently in the process of organizing Joan and Tomas Heartland from The Divine Feminine Awakened Masculine Institute based in Maui who will be coming here in early 2010 to conduct a workshop on 'Romancing the Beloved' . A very exciting year ahead!

Usui Reiki Ryoho
Due to many requests lately to teach Reiki again, I have decided to offer authentic and traditional Reiki classes and treatments for 2010. I studied Reiki intensively in 2000 and completed a Reiki Master Degree with the International House of Reiki in Sydney in 2003 www.reiki.net.au. After teaching Reiki for many years and working as a voluntary Reiki Practitioner with 'Balya Cancer Self Help and Wellness Centre', I came to the realisation that 'Reiki' is all around us, it is the consciousness that we live and breathe. Reiki continues to bring so much happiness and blessings into my life and I am excited to be sharing this gift with you.
The word Reiki is Japanese and simply means 'spiritual energy'. It is a spiritual healing practice founded in the late 1800's by Mikao Usui. Reiki is not a religion but a holistic approach to healing body, mind and spirit.

"SPECIAL DRUMMING MEDITATION 11th November
"The drum has been used for healing purposes throughout the world for thousands of years, in tribal societies with their shamanic traditions to communicate with the spirit world, as well as a tool for social integration and to restore harmony. According to West-African wisdom teachings, emotional disturbance manifests as an irregular rhythm that blocks the vital physical energy flow. As regular even rhythms are regarded as a sign of health, these rhythms can heal the person by touching him or her in an immediate and powerful way, removing blockages and releasing tension. Thus dance and drumming serve as preventive remedies, and they help people to become more aware and balanced.
Feel the rhythm and the beat of the drum reverberating through your body and opening the chakras. It's a great way to relax and de-stress and let your heart be open and really feel connected within yourself and with Mother Earth".

Excerpts from the new Novel
'The Erotic Adventures of Mr Shiva and Ms Shakti'

Mr Shiva and Ms Shakti had both been low recently and needed a boost to their energies. 
So Mr S decided to treat Ms S to an all night/all day energy exchange extravaganza. Mr S was due to fly overseas on business, taking advantage of this he left home a day early and checked into a beautiful retreat. Mrs S received a message to meet him that night.
The retreat was a simple cabin surrounded by woodland. Mr S prepared the room with candles and incense. He arranged some flowers and spread petals on the bed. A bottle of red wine and a box of chocolates completed the scene. Mr S changed into a light robe and awaited Ms S.
Soon there was a crackle and crunching of gravel as a car pulled up. Ms S stepped out of her car and tapped on the cabin door. Mr S waited, she tapped again and this time Mr S opened the door and greeted her with a warm hug. He was instantly repaid with a beautiful smile and a hug back.
He took Ms S by the hand and led her into the room. He leads her to the sitting area and pours two glasses of wine. They make a silent but powerful toast to each other. Mr S passes a silk robe to Ms S and guides her to the bathroom. Ms S goes to the bathroom to freshen up and shortly appears in the silk robe, which highlights her figure and flows around her. She already looks more radiant than when she arrived.
Mr S is seated on a cushion on the floor glass of wine in hand and another cushion beside him. Ms S joins him and kneels on the other cushion. Taking their glasses of wine they pass their arms around the other and drink for the other's glass. Mr S indicates to Ms S to lie down, she does so placing her head in his lap. He gently strokes her hair and brow. He massages her face and focuses the massage on her forehead, applying pressure between her eyes, just above the bridge of her delicate nose. They start to breathe loudly and get into a rhythmic breathing together. Mr S' hands are warm and soft as he caresses away the tension in her brow. Slowly he starts to massage her neck. His hands work firmly but gently along the lines of tension, releasing all that is there.
He moves down her neck and parts the robe slightly to expose more of her shoulders and chest. He massages across her tired tense shoulders. His hands glide teasingly across her chest and back up her neck and to her forehead. Gently brushing her hair he leans down and blows across her face and neck. Ms S shivers and moans with pleasure.
