Hello and Welcome,

Well December is here and the end of another year fast approaching with Christmas just around the corner.  I would like take this opportunity to thank all of my clients who have attended a private session, workshop, retreat, as well as special guest speakers and helpers at the retreats throughout the year and my fabulous meditation class for helping make 2009 such a fantastic year.   I would like to personally acknowledge and thank Claire from Zeta Tech who is continually at the other end of the phone helping me with my website (which is often as I am not very computer literate!  So many thanks Claire). 

The Sanctuary has had another very successful year with lots of new ideas, concepts and products emerging and it continues to grow, spreading the word that sacred sexuality is a celebration of life!  To all the special people who have come into my life and also to those who have left, I thank you all for being part of my journey.   I hope that Tantra has touched your life in some way and that by continuing to practice this powerful ancient art it will bring so many wonderful benefits into your life.  On a personal level, Tantra continues to challenge me in more ways than one and I am continually in awe of the life changing experiences that practicing Tantra brings.

Most people live their life through their 'head' 'their thoughts'.  The true essence of Tantra is to move from the head space into the heart centre, to be present, to be in the NOW, to spread love and joy all around. This is the only way to live life simplistically.  The most commonly asked question I am frequently asked is 'what exactly is the practice of Tantra'.  Well one way to describe Tantra is to imagine you have a beautiful healthy pot plant; the plant depends on you to water it, to feed it so it can survive and continue to thrive.  Tantric lovemaking is a similar concept.  In that moment when you make love, you are 'feeding' your partner unconditional love from the heart centre.  For most people sex is just a physical pleasure, a need, desire or gratification. If people learn to transcend the physical into the connection of love, then we would truly live in a world of magic.   Love in its purest essence is pleasure, happiness, energy and healing.  The billions of cells that float around our body every day are continually pulsating to the energies of positivity or negativity, in other words LOVE or FEAR. Your body and every one of your cells thrives with abundant life force through the aspect of positivity and love.   Imagine connecting to this type of energy and the benefits you will receive and also for that of your partner.  Sex is not just a genital pleasurable connection and or sexual gratification.  It is LOVEMAKING, it is CONNECTION, it is FEEDING, it is PLEASURABLE, and it is EUPHORIA in its highest form connecting the physical, emotional and spiritual. 

In other news, the December Couples Retreat was recently held on the 5^th and 6^th December and once again this retreat proved to be another amazing weekend.  All the couples that attended were fabulous people who were such a joy to teach.  I would like to thank all the participants who attended and especially Linda for all her hard work in helping me set up this retreat, Master Alex Lim for his powerful and thought provoking Seminar on Tantra, Michelle from Harmony Gongs for her beautiful, relaxing and healing gonging meditation and lastly, Sue Bartoll for her yummy culinary delights!  I'm sure everyone who participated enjoyed the food! I am really looking forward to the new retreats planned next year at The Serpentine Retreat Centre.

The new website www.beginnerstantra.com.au  is now up and running and is the sister website for the Sanctuary of Tantra featuring the new e-book 'Beginners Tantra'.

Lastly, the Sanctuary will be closed from the 20^th December until the 11^th January as I will be taking some much needed time off to spend with my boys, returning in 2010 energized and relaxed and ready for an exciting new year.

I would like to wish everyone a safe, happy and special Christmas and a very prosperous new year.  Savour and enjoy every minute with your loved ones over the festive and holiday season and remember family is the most important connection of all.  Enjoy!

KHAJURAHO

Recently my gorgeous sister Judy went to India for work and during her trip was able to find time to visit the famous Temples of Khajuraho.  The origins and history of Hindu Tantra resides in these amazing temples.  

One thousand years ago, 85 extraordinary temples were constructed near Khajuraho under the patronage of the Chandella Kinds who ruled over the area from the 9^th to the 14^th century.  The remains of only 25 of these temples survive, extending over an area of 21 sq. km. around the village and constitute one of the most alluring temple sites in India.  The erotic sculptures, the subject of numerous interpretations, are the best known.  Built in a burst of creative energy, the temples, a joyous celebration of life, are among the artistic wonders of the world. 

Some of the erotic panels in the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple suggest they are an interpretation of the Kama Sutra or a Tantric rite which gave sexual intercourse a ceremonial significance.

Butter Jade Eggs

Physical Properties: Butter Jade has a creamy yellow colour with dark striations throughout and is sometimes also known as Butterstone. Although it is called 'jade', it is not however a true jade. The striations found in the attractive yellow-green sedimentary rock are actually layers containing fossilized algae. The stone is typically around 50 million years old and between 6 and 7 on moh's hardness scale.

Spiritual Properties: This particular variation is called Nephrite, a cream or tan coloured Jade. It is a Talisman for protection. Also helps balance female & male energies within the self which provides further balance with a partner in a relationship as well. Physically, Nephrite Jade is used in the crystal healing of the physical heart, and kidney problems.

Other names for Butter Jade are Butterstone and African Jade.

Tantra Meditation Classes

I would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful group that has attended meditation class this year and made teaching meditation such a joy.  I know Maggie May and myself will miss you all and we both look forward to seeing you back again on the 20th January.

The last meditation for 2009 is on this Wednesday the 9th of December at 7.15pm.  This meditation is focusing on the HEALING vibrations of SOUND and TANTRA MANTRA. Relax and unwind to the sounds and rhythms of the drums and didgeridoo.  Tantra meditation resumes on Wednesday the 20^th January 2010.  7.15pm to 9.15pm at the Forrestfield Hall, Cnr Hale and Anderson Roads, Forrestfield.  Cost $10

A Reason, Season, A Lifetime

When someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.  They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.  They may seem like a godsend and they are!  They are there for the reason you need them to be.  Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say do something to bring the relationship to an end.  Sometimes they die, sometimes they walk away, sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.  What we must realise is that our need has been met, our desire fulfiled, their work is done.  The pray you sent up has been answered and now it's time to move on.

Then people come into our life for a season.  Because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.  They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh.  They may teach you something you have done.  They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.  Believe it! It is real! But only for a Season.

Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.  Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
