Welcome to the Sanctuary of Tantra February Newsletter
Another fresh and brand new year is upon us once again and as many people have commented to me lately "this is going to be an exciting and abundant year". It is certainly looking that way if January is anything to go by as not only has this month been extremely busy organizing some new workshops but Perth has also been blessed with the presence, wisdom and knowledge of Baba Dez and his Apprentice Natasha from the International School of Temple Arts in Sedona USA. The Talks and Workshops were extremely powerful, moving and for some confrontational and opened the awareness for so many people of the divine sacred union within each and every one of us in the aspects of the healthy masculine and the divine healthy feminine. Baba Dez is one of the most vibrant, energetic and profound teachers today in the modern field of Sacred Sexuality and for myself personally the journey has certainly moved and shifted me into greater heights within my teachings and my own spiritual growth. As quoted in the Whitetigress Manual " If you cannot directly face your sexuality, you will never discover your true spirituality". Baba Dez certainly rocked Perth and for those who participated in the talks, workshops and sessions, I sincerely thank you for not only supporting this event but for sharing your journey and wisdom, for stepping up, being present and allowing yourself to be an expression of your powerful sexual energy.
I would like to acknowledge a special thank you to Baba Dez and Natasha for introducing Perth to the Sacred Temple Arts and for creating a safe space for people to start healing their own unhealthy masculine and feminine energies and to honour the power of their sexual energy. This is the power of Sex Magic! Special thanks to Chaz, Ann-Charlotte, Alice and Kris for all your help and support at this event. I would also like to say a big thank you to Peter and Lynn from the Quiet Cone for organizing a special gonging evening for Dez and Natasha. It was a wonderful relaxing experience to be surrounded by the beautiful healing sounds and harmonies of the Gongs and Peter and Lynn are such amazing people that it makes the whole experience that much more special. Baba Dez's workshops and private session where FULFILLING/VALIDATINGAND EMPOWERING!!!! I feel so blessed that The Sanctuary of Tantra sponsored Baba Dez and encouraged him to come to Perth. Those of us who were lucky enough to attend his talks and subsequently participate in his workshops, have come away with an understanding of how the Tantric and Shamanic paths can empower us as individuals and ultimately when we become balanced, a huge shift in the collective consciousness will occur. It has already started; we are in the death throes of that which no longer serves us. He encourages us to manifest heaven on earth, starting with ourselves. Baba Dez spoke repeatedly about working towards Sacred Union of the Divine Masculine and Feminine within us so that we can help to make a difference on the planet. By the sacred union of the Divine Masculine and Feminine aspects of ourselves we raise our vibrational field and our emotional energy.
The current state of the planet reflects the Father Wound that we all, male and female, need to heal in order that we can make space and encourage our Wounded Feminine to safely express unhealed and denied emotions locked within our emotional body. Self empowerment is his constant message and he shared with us Shamanic tools that we can use to access our denied, suppressed or unconscious wounding in order that we give a voice to our wounded female. His consistent message was to live in truth and integrity, to develop our own Healthy Male who can be our own perfect father, brother and lover. I have become very aware of the Unhealthy Male that lives within me and I have now become a witness to myself talk and consciously correct my internal dialogue to one that is supportive and nurturing. Dez also said it is important to breathe and feel into emotions considered to be negative. We are to embrace and acknowledge feelings of rage, grief, fear, shame etc. so that we move the energy through our neurological body and we process these emotions as they occur. These emotions are just as valid as ecstasy, happiness, joy, bliss, compassion. Suppressed and denied emotions will cause us to draw people or events into our lives with whom we make 'telepathic contracts' and end up essentially using the relationship to try to heal ourselves by becoming more conscious, or we use our partners as punching bags when they fail to 'fill us up and make us whole'.
Thank you again Cathy, this has been a life changing event for me and I feel very excited about what the future holds for us not only as individuals but also to the changing consciousness of the planet and its inhabitants. Let us commit to living a life where we are present, authentic and connected to ourselves and our tribe with compassion and love. Love Bev

In other news, a new couples Tantra meditation CD was due to be released in December but after much thought and deliberation I have decided to convert the CD into a Couples Tantric DVD. I am currently working on this project with the wonderful Mark Whitehouse from Procopy and having much fun and delight along the way and I am so excited to be producing an amazing product for couples to learn, experience and practice Tantra with me from the privacy of their own home. The DVD will be ready for release in April 2010.
Lastly, I am continually in awe of the beautiful people that surround me and support me in this work. Tantra has been a life changing journey for me and you are all diamonds that are treasured....thank you for being you.

19th February 2010. A sacred space for the feminine spirit to connect, love, laugh and cry. Share sacred goddess rituals passed down to me by my Chinese step mother who was trained in the ancient teachings of the White Tigress. A safe space to practice tantra, Jade Egg Kegel exercises, Energetic Sacred Spot Massage or to simply chat and anything else that goes within the safe boundaries of the circle. Couple's Tantric Massage Playshop
27th February 2010. This workshop has been designed by Cathy to give couples the opportunity to explore the ancient tantric practice of TOUCH to connect pleasure, through play letting go of sexual inhibitions and surrendering into FREEDOM. Tantric Massage is an erotic, sensual experience creating pleasure for pleasure's sake and learning to be totally immersed in deep states of relaxation whilst building sexual energy (peaks or waves) through the body. Tantric massage is a wonderful tool to bring more pleasure, depth and intimacy into love-making, to be used as part of foreplay or simply as a time-out experience with no expectations other than to be indulged, nurtured and loved. When we learn to surrender to pleasure, we also heal and energise and reach new heights of sensitivity to orgasmic energy.
