Hi and welcome to another month at the Sanctuary.

It has been a very busy month with moving into new premises, production of the new DVD 'Beginners Tantra for Couples' and the new addition of a 'Tantra Forum' which will be up on the website approximately mid April.  The forum will be the first of its kind, designed for members only and will be an opportunity to talk and meet with like minded people who are on a similar path with Tantra.  A 12 month membership also entitles clients to a 10% discount off all sessions, workshops and massages and practice videos will be available for download on a monthly basis. 

In other news, I am proud to announce and would like to extend a very warm welcome to Bev, Lynne, Leah and Nick who will be joining the Sanctuary as Tantra Practitioners within the next couple of months.  Also check out our new Photo Gallery where photos will be posted each month.

Tantra is the art of 'self transformation' learning to intergrate the healthy masculine and healthy feminine and through my experience and journey with Tantra, I have realised a very simple way to explain to the Western world the true essence of sacred sexuality. Imagine you have a beautiful healthy plant, that plant depends on you to water it so it can survive and continue to thrive, we water and fertilise that plant and in essence we are 'feeding' that plant. Tantric lovemaking is a similar concept.  In the moment when you make love, you are 'feeding' your partner unconditional love from the heart centre. Love in its purest essence is pleasure, happiness, energy and healing. Every one of our cells in our body feels this energy as love and pulsates with energy and vitality.  There is only love or fear, negative or positive in this universe.  So imagine connecting to this type of energy and the benefits you both will receive. Sex is not just a genital connection and or sexual release gratification. It is LOVEMAKING, euphoria in its highest form connecting the physical, emotional and spiritual through the heart centre. 

If you can imagine just for a moment that amazing feeling and sensation (that we all know so well) just before an orgasm and imagine being able to sustain that 'feeling of ecstasy' for long periods of time before orgasm occurs.  This is the dance of Shiva and Shakti.   In Hindu mythology sexuality is everywhere.  The Hindu god and goddess ' Shiva and Shakti' are continually making love and sexuality was considered sacred and a celebration of life.

Women's Sacred Circle

12th March 2010.  We will try again!  A sacred space for the feminine spirit to connect, love, laugh and cry. Share sacred goddess rituals passed down to me by my Chinese step mother who was trained in the ancient teachings of the White Tigress.  A safe space to practice tantra, Jade Egg Kegel exercises, Energetic Sacred Spot Massage or to simply chat and anything else that goes within the safe boundaries of the circle.  Open to  all women of all ages.  No experience in Tantra is required.  Please bring a plate to share.  Friday evening 7pm to 9.30pm.  Cost: $10.  Men's sacred circle will be coming soon.

Couple's Tantric Massage Playshop

22nd May 2010.  This workshop has been designed by Cathy to give couples the opportunity to explore the ancient tantric practice of TOUCH to connect pleasure, through play letting go of sexual inhibitions and surrendering into FREEDOM.  Tantric Massage is an erotic, sensual experience creating pleasure for pleasure's sake and learning to be totally immersed in deep states of relaxation whilst building sexual energy (peaks or waves) through the body. Tantric massage is a wonderful tool to bring more pleasure, depth and intimacy into love-making, to be used as part of foreplay or simply as a time-out experience with no expectations other than to be indulged, nurtured and loved.
