Namaste and welcome to another month at the Sanctuary.,

The Sanctuary has been busy these past few weeks renovating a large studio at the back of my property which will officially be the new premises of the Sanctuary of Tantra and used for private sessions, workshops, meditation and women and men's Tantra circles.  The space is incredibly private and tranquil with lots of magnificent trees giving off their good 'chi' energy.  Privacy is a must in the teachings of Tantra and I have found it quite difficult to find that space up until now.  The studio over looks land with some beautiful horses that quite often come over for a ' hello and inquisitve look' at all the comings and goings not to mention the birds, chooks and the Rooster George!  Yes it is certainly becoming a little place of natural paradise!  The building will be full of relics, ornaments and wall hangings from India and China in keeping with the theme of Tao and Hindu Tantra. 

Many thanks go to all the people who have supported this huge project and who willingly gave up their time and energy to have the studio ready in time.  A very special thank you must go to Nick and Brad who have worked tirelessly with the painting amongst lots of other important jobs.  Another special thank you goes to Toon from meditation for laying the wooden floors as well as designing and creating an amazing outdoor fire place with lots of quaint wooden benches to go around for the Fire/Blessing Ceremony.  Another big thank you goes to Kris, Susan, Chaz, Danny, Alice, Bev, Leah, Carlo, Ann-Charlotte and Jo.  Susan and Kris are designing a one of a kind "Lingam and Yoni Garden" (yes there are plants that look like a penis and vagina!) with once again keeping to the theme of Tantra and I am so excited and impressed with this amazing idea from Susan that I am sure it will only be a matter of time before the garden will be featured  on "Burkes Back Yard"! LOL

The filming of the new Beginners Tantra for Couples DVD has finally been completed and we were very blessed with lovely but freezing weather!  This has been an amazing experience for me and I am extremely excited at the release of this informative DVD which will be ready for sale within the next month.  The DVD will be available worldwide and there will be a special preview launch screening in August.  Full details will be advised within the next couple of weeks.  This DVD has been created as an instructional Tantra session for couples.  It's just like having your own private Tantra session with me in the privacy of your own space. I would like to say a huge thank you to my wonderful friends, Peter and Lynne from the Quiet Cone in Parkeville for allowing us to film the DVD in the magnificent and tranquil setting of the Cone.  Partly surrounded by the Jane Brook (which is now flowing) and nature in all its beauty and purity, this was the perfect setting to create the space of Tantra.  There is also footage during the movie of the Cone and Peter playing the magnificent Gongs!  I would also like to say another huge thank you to our leading stars, Dantra and Dianne, who have been an absolute blessing in my life and especially for being incredibly brave in participating in the DVD.  They are the ultimate Shiva/Shakit! and even through the cold weather and a whole day of filming, they never complained once.  What great sports!  And lastly, another huge thank you must go to Mark Whitehouse, Director of Procopy and Steve Ramm, Editor of Procopy for their expertise, guidance, patience and professionalism with this project.  Thank you so much guys! I am sure the experience taught you a lot about Tantra!

In other news, the Sanctuary is expanding to Brisbane!  My wonderful Goddess Sister Paula who I have known for many years is taking the Sanctuary's teachings to Brisbane and setting up 'The Sanctuary of Tantra' for sessions and workshops over there.  It is a wonderful opportunity and certainly a journey that is starting to truly evolve and spread the word and sacredness of what I believe Tantra to be.  Paula will be featured in the August Newsletter so if you know anyone in Brisbane, please be sure to pass on this exciting news.

Lastly, for those of you that don't know, we have just recently completed the four day Solstice which commenced on the 21^st June 2010, June Equinox - one of the 'four cardinal moments of the year' worshipped as the four most sacred days of the year by all indigenous cultures throughout history, including early western culture.   

During this time the White Lion Global Protection Trust issued a worldwide prayer of protection for Mother Earth that was united with Chief Arvol Looking Horse (Sioux elder and 19^th Generation Keeper of the White Buffalo prophecies) at his annual event of World Peace and Prayer Day.

As millions of gallons of crude oil contaminate our oceans in the worst human induced 'natural' disaster, a message has come through from the White Lion Ancestors: to unite our intention for the protection of Mother Earth and her most precious resource: Water.

If you feel inclined, it is never too late to sit in either meditation or reflection and send your intention of love and healing to our oceans and mother earth.

Women's Tantra Sacred Heart Circle

2nd July 2010.  The Sacred Goddess Circle is a Temenos (sacred space of knowledge and learning without judgement) for the feminine spirit to connect, love, laugh and cry.  A beautiful safe space to practice Tantra, Mantra's, Jade Egg Kegel exercises, Energetic Sacred Spot Massage or to simply chat and anything else that goes within the safe boundaries of the circle.  The Sanctuary encourages all women to attend and is open to women of all ages (16 and up).  Bring a friend or two, no experience in Tantra is required.  Please bring a small plate to share.  Friday evening 7pm to 9.30pm.  Cost: $10.  At Julie's place in Yangebup (20 mins from City).  Please email for the address cathy@sanctuaryoftantra.com.au.  

Men's Tantra Circle

13th July 2010.  The Men's Tantra Circle, is a safe container to be in the presence of like minded men, to provide a confidential and supportive bond to embrace the ancient teachings of 'Tantra for Men' and to connect back to the deep grounded masculine spirit.  Ancient primral cultures were aware of the importance of the rites of passage marking a crossing into manhood and for men to become deeply centred into their masculine and feminine energy.   Unfortunately theses rites and supportive circles have been lost in western society and it now time for all men to step up into their power of the Shiva 'masculine energy'.  This circle is an opportunity to talk and learn about men's sexualty through Tantric practices that include 'The Male White Deer' , Ejaculation Control, The Big Draw Orgasm and Yoni Massage for her.  Supported by Ashley who has ten years experience in men's work and Kris and Nick (Practitioners from the Sanctuary) as well as the guys from the meditation group.  The circle welcomes men of all ages (16 and up), no experience in Tantra is necessary.   Please give Kris a call for further information. 0410068725.  Tuesday 7pm to 9.30pm.  Cost: $10.  Venue: The Sanctuary of Tantra.

10th July 2010.  This workshop has been designed by Cathy to give couples the opportunity to explore the ancient tantric practice of TOUCH to connect pleasure, through play letting go of sexual inhibitions and surrendering into FREEDOM.  Tantric Massage is an erotic, sensual experience creating pleasure for pleasure's sake and learning to be totally immersed in deep states of relaxation whilst building sexual energy (peaks or waves) through the body.
